Metallic Materials Students Gather at Brunel University London

Over eighty students from across the UK gathered at Brunel University for two days to share and discuss their research with each other.  Students, staff and visitors enjoyed oral and poster presentations, with cash prize awards presented by The EPSRC Centre – LiME.

Positive feedback from this event reflected the student’s appreciation to meet and share with other students, to gain valuable experience presenting their work, and to start networking.

Hosting the conference was just one of several outreach activities hosted by BCAST and The EPSRC Centre – LiME this year, as part of their on-going mission to assist development of future leaders. The student conference is part of the series organised by the Advanced Metallic Systems Centre for Doctoral Training, University of Sheffield.
